“Zanu PF Administration To Declare Anne Nhira Provincial Hero” Themba Mliswa Makes A Request
Temba Mliswa Norton legislator who is known for being outspoken has urged the Zanu PF administration to declare Anne Nhira who died last night in South Africa, a Provincial Hero.
Posting on Twitter Mliswa made the suggestion and said:
Another sad loss to hit the arts & entertainment industry. My sincerest condolences to the family of the late Anne Nhira. In recognition of her contributions to the industry and March as Women’s month, isn’t she suitable to be made a Provincial Hero?
Unless of course Soul Jah Love was conferred for performing at @ZANUPF_Official rallies? Anne appeared on state media, doesn’t that qualify her too? A YARDER who attended the last @YARDzim2023 public lecture and as a young, talented female she should be conferred the status.
I don’t dispute Soul Jah Love’s popularity & the mark he made; I enjoyed his music too, but I would want to know why the late Anne Nhira couldn’t be given Provincial Hero status and what the selection criteria is?

According to Pindula News, Anne made headlines in 2017 after she first wrote a letter strongly opposing the appearance of Zodwa WaBantu at Harare International Carnival in 2017, and later on for appearing at a Zanu PF youth march in solidarity with Grace Mugabe. She is currently trending on Twitter as Twimbos mourn her passing.
