Drama As Businessman Breaks Down After Losing A House During A Divorce Case:
A businessman from Nyamhondo, Mberengwa broke into tears after Mberengwa Magistrate Evia Matura ruled that he should give his family homestead to his estranged wife during the sharing of the property after a divorce case.
The man who was identified as Trinos Mtombeni (52) was dragged to court by his wife Mercy Nhongo (45) after he deserted the matrimonial home and lived with a new wife.
According to a local publication Masvingo Mirror Nhongo sought a protection order and the sharing of property and Matura gave her ruling on Thursday. Mtombeni was reported to have been spending benefits of the properties he built with Nhongo on his new wife.
During the ruling, Magistrate Matura awarded Nhongo 14 beasts, three donkeys, a goat and the homestead while Mtombeni was awarded a shop, Isuzu pick up car, 14 beasts, three donkeys and two goats.
Matura also ordered Mtombeni to stop harassing and assaulting Nhongo in any way.
With this ruling at hand, Mtombeni broke down in tears and begged Matura to change the ruling and not to share the property since the couple was still husband and wife.
